Yoga Flow and Inversions-Kreuzberg Teacher | Environmentalist | Designer for Eco-Social Change Carmen was born and raised in Cuba, where she grew up as an athlete with a deep curiosity for mystical arts and spiritual practices. At sixteen, she began practicing yoga on her own, guided only by a book. Years later, after leaving Cuba, she experienced her first group class — a turning point that solidified yoga as a lifelong path. She completed her first teacher training in 2013, rooted in the Sivananda tradition. Carmen’s teaching integrates classical Hatha Yoga with elements of Kriya, Kundalini, and Vinyasa, drawing from her studies with masters such as Sri Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon, and Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. Her practice is also deeply influenced by her environmental activism. While studying Kriya Yoga in India, she received the blessings of Swami Chidanand Saraswati and began integrating ecological consciousness into her teachings. Carmen holds a bachelor's degree in Sustainability and the Environment from Florida International University and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Social Design and Sustainable Innovation in Berlin. She offers a practice that reconnects body, breath, and awareness — where personal healing and planetary care meet. IG:Kamalacahe
