Afrikan Yoga @ Treptower Park

Yoga

Yoga in Berlin Nature is our greatest teacher. Spending time to in connection with nature, allows our nervous system to calm down and return to it's natural state of harmony and balance. Living in the city, we tend to spend most of our time in buildings and on roads. Berlin has beautiful green spaces that can serve us as a sanctuary to reconnect our body, mind and soul. With this Afrikan Yoga practice, you can awaken your inner fire, allow your water to flow, lift up in the air with lightness, and ground into the earth to find inner peace. This is not your typical yoga class. Join me on an unique journey of balancing your innate elemental energies within your physical, mental and energetic body. Afrikan Yoga is an ancient movement practice that originated around 5000 BC in the Nile Valley, in Egypt. With a combination of rhythmic movements and static poses, it helps us to reconnect to our innate wholeness - calming our minds, balancing the energies within our bodies, and harmonising our souls. The emphasis is on elemental body awareness which is encouraged through Hudu movements. Hudu is a series of flowing movements which help us to embody and to balance the energies of the elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) and their representations within our bodies. The Hudu is complemented by static postures of selected Neters (Egyptian gods and goddesses). Their personalities are strongly connected to the cosmic forces of nature and they teach us how to reconnect to valuable qualities like courage, harmony and unconditional love. With our practice, we aim to harmonise and bring balance to our physical, mental and energetic body. We reconnect to nature, and become present in the moment. This way we allow ourselves to reach higher states of consciousness. For more information find me on Instagram @ewolve.now Reconnect to your aliveness. Feel your body and emotions deeply.
