Peace Sangha @ CCB Studios
Peace Sangha offers weekly drop-in meditation for beginners and curious practitioners within a few minutes of Hermannplatz. Sessions run up to two hours, with a bio break at the one-hour mark. You're welcome to leave then if you'd like. The first hour will be more preparatory, with some theory and a shorter sit and group discussion. The second will often focus around a longer 35-50 minute sit. Each week focuses on a different topic, from the foundations of mindfulness and the hindrances to loving-kindness, joy, and the jhanas (deeper states of absorption). We aim to be beginner friendly! You don't need to have meditated before. You can be skeptical about the process. In fact, it's encouraged. Some things will resonate with you, and some won't. And that's totally fine. Some days will be great, and some you won't feel like you've made any progress. That's the process, and it's totally okay! Taught by Timothy LeBon, a certified meditation teacher trained through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Learn more at peacesangha.com.
